Come take your ease in Easton! Stay with us in one of the Eastern Shore's newest bed and breakfasts, the Chaffinch House. Built in 1893 by William P. Chaffinch, the house is a lovely old Queen Anne Victorian. Located in the historic district of Easton, it is within easy walking distance of the many wonderful antique shops, fine boutiques and restaurants of the town. Staying at the Chaffinch House takes you back to yesteryear, abounding as it does with Victorian gables, bays and oriels. This two-and-a-half story building has a octagonal tower, a keyhole window and a wraparound porch. Passing through its public rooms you will see a house that boasts of hardwood floors, molding, mantels and architectural details of a time gone by. There is a beautiful raised panel oak staircase with a pair of miniature bronze torcheres resting on the newel posts. Period furnishings are found throughout the house. Happily, the refurbishing always kept the guest in mind and the house has been equipped with the latest in creature comforts.
