Centrally located in Queen Anne's County Maryland, the Gateway to Maryland's Eastern Shore. Only 10 miles from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Maryland's Eastern Shore just after the Route 50/301 split across from Prime Outlets on Rt 301. The B&B is located in the incorporated part of Queenstown, which is a small quiet historic town tucked off of Route 301. Only a two blocks to the Queenstown Creek and the Chester River.
Built in the 1800s, Queenstown Inn Bed & Breakfast has enjoyed a rich colorful past. Interesting and notable was the previous owner Dr. Winchester (1958), inventor of the hypodermic syringe, the cabinet & coffin making (1859) and is marked as the site where the fire of 1892 was stopped. In addition, the Queenstown Bank and the Post Office also operated here in the 1900s. Much is written about the cast iron front on the older section. Historians have noted that it is probably the finest one in existence today, in the state of Maryland. It dates back to 1888 and came from Messer Brothers in St. Louis, worth about $288, at that time.
